Transportation tips for your first Summer Break in Cancún. Part 2

Hello! This article tells you the basics about spending your summer break in Cancun, having fun, saving money and traveling wisely. Every saved penny is another buck for clubbing at Dady O!
You can check how to get to the fancy hotel zone, and therefore, to the Party District on a bus in our last post
Now we will share with you alternative ways to get from the downtown to the nightclub zone and the hotel Zone in Cancun this summer break, although these option are not the real money savers.
Airport/Downtown Cancun Bus + Taxi from Downtown to Hotel Zone.
Pros: Cheap, fast, clean and safe. May leave you directly at the entrance of Dady O, if you want. :D
Cons: Bus drivers drive fast and wildly, which gets some people nervous. Not the best option if you are carrying more than one luggage piece per person. This only works for hotels within the Hotel Zone in Cancun. The bus may not leave you right at the door of your hotel, so its not an option if you have problems walking long distances or tolerating the hot Cancun weather.
This is a nice combination between value and comfort. Take an ADO Bus to Cancun Downtown from the airport (Instructions here) and then, from the ADO Bus station, look for a cab site close to the station. These places where authorized taxis wait for travelers is called “sitio”, and you can ask for it saying “Sitio de taxis” (see tee oh deh tah xees). Once on the cab, you can ask the driver to take you to your hotel, and he will charge you around $120 - $180 pesos maximum to the hotel zone, although taking a cab to hotels located in the highway south of Cancun can easily reach $50-$60 dollars in price, or even more.
Collective van service.
Pros: Takes you right to the door of your hotel, carries your luggage into and out of the van. Features AC. They can take you to the hotels located to the south of Cancun on the highway.
Cons: Very expensive. You could easily pay your cover and the cover of the girl you met at the pool for Dady O with the cost of one passenger. In the case of collective vans, you share the van with other people, which is a problem you don’t face when taking a taxi.
This is the usual choice for many first-timers in Cancun, that come tired after a long trip on the plane, almost as tired as after a full night at the nightclub, and are not with the humor to walk around looking for buses or hotels. Just arrive at one of the transportation arrangement booths and hire a van. Doubt of the executives that offer free transportation to your hotel, as they usually sell timeshare and force you to spend 90 minutes at the sales floor. And, come on, we are sure you will always prefer 90 minutes more sipping cocktails at a great nightclub, rather than being sold some property.
So, these are the tips we have for you when transporting yourself from the airport of Cancun to the hotel zone or other hotels. We hope this is really useful for you and you have the chance to visit us at Dady O, the best nightclub in Cancun!
