What kind of makeup to wear in a Cancun nightclub this Summer break

If you are coming to Cancun and plan to spend your summer break in one of our amazing nightclubs, you have to think about the environment you will face: black lights, laser shows, neon lights, fire welding acrobats, you know, the usual sources of light that can ruin the way your make up looks, either making it look non-existing or highlighting it too much.

The first part is adding a liquid foundation to your eyelids. This base will keep your makeup where it should be, instead of letting it melt as you dance and sweat under the dance music at the nightclub, looking later like some sort of emo-doll created by Tim Burton. Also, if you have not slept or you have dark eyes after consuming too many wild cocktails during the day at the pool, this will hide those imperfections and unify the tone of your eyelids with the rest of the skin in your face. Place special attention in the corners of your eyes where usually they look darker. 

Now, prepare the beautiful canvas of your face by applying a good powder foundation. This should be applied in circles, and will also protect you from looking all shiny and sweaty after a few minutes within the nightclub. And believe us, even a 5 minute walk through Cancun from your hotel to the nightclub can make you sweat!

Choose a shadow color that goes from medium to dark, people suggest purple as it makes an excellent contrast against the artificial lights that you will find in the nightclub. As you may know, apply the eye shadow from the inner corner of the eyelid to the outside. Start right above your eye lashes and go up to just above the crease of your eyelid. Use a Q-Tip to get to the little tiny corners below your lower eye lashes. Don’t go all the way around the lower lid of your eye, just half the way from the interior to the exterior of your eye, and then fade it out. Remember that the eyes are the first point of contact with a potential pickup at the club, with these tips well make sure anyone will notice your eyes right from the other side of Dady O this summer break 2012.

Now if what you want is to shine at the nightclub, you cannot forget to add some glitter eye shadow. We know, we know, glitter may not be your style, but it really can give you the edge in a nightclub. Think about some silver glitter on the top of your upper eyelid, and make it contrast with black eyeliner. Then apply your natural mascara. Some girls like to let some glitter land on their freshly covered eyelashes, but that gives you a not so-cool look.

For your lips, you want to use more clear colors, as darker colors can distract too much from other features of your face, and even if here at Dady O we’d really love you to use those lips onto the lips of a cute pickup, its better to have a balanced appearance for all your face.

If you have thin lips and you are afraid of them looking to slim, just apply some lipstick a bit above/below your lip lines and then add some gloss to the middle section of your lips.
